DAVID GARCIA

 

David graduated from the renowned FIDM in Los Angeles, Ca. in 2005. Having a reputation in the Upscale, Members only- posh Nightlife. Building a reputation in the Hip Hop streetwear community. Having worked with powerhouses such as BET, VH1, DEC Artists, UCLA & Jesse Collins Entertainment. In 2013 David started Dream & Destroy, a street wear brand that can be seen across the Globe. The brand consists of four collections (one collection dropping annually, and in extremely limited quantities).Dream & Destroy clothing can be seen on A-List powerhouses. Zoe Kravitz, Anderson Paak, Twin Shadow, Kevin Hart, James Supercave and Nelly to name a few. In 2016 David started collaborating with celebrity stylist Jovan Townsend, regionally known as the Thrifting King and Stylist to the Stars. Together they’ve created the new Dream & Destroy Label, DESTRUCT, which consists of vintage tees that are distressed, hand-tattered with limited edition signature print on print designs as well as vintage denim that has been distressed, bleached, stitched, patched and painted and hand-sewn back together.

 

JOVAN TOWNSEND

Growing up in Washington state and having been born in Los Angeles, Jovan was only destined to become part of the Hollywood Music and Film/television scene. At the age of 23, having already been apart of feature films and television in his late teens as a featured extra. He decided it was time to move back to Los Angeles and hit that market. Auditioning for roles such as Will and Grace, He decided that hair was where his passion fell. A month later he was able to tack down an apprenticeship with the prestigious Gamine Salon in West Hollywood in 2003, privately training under Vidal Sassoon stylists. After leaving the salon in 2006, Jovan started on his own path and worked with some of the best salons in Los Angeles becoming a Celebrity Editorial Hair Stylist. His work can be seen in numerous magazines, publications and Red Carpet events year round. He works both in Canada and Los Angeles doing hair and Wardrobe styling. Some of the Celebrity clients Jovan has worked with are: Brittany Murphy, Lady Victoria Hervey, Aj Cook, Tarsen Singh, Steve Stevens, Mindy Kaling, Austin Highsmith, Alaina Huffman, Roma Mafia, Candace Cameron, James Tupper, Anne Heche, Jordan Hinson, Christina Aguilera, Donna Delory, Dana Wilkey, Jason Mesnick, Joely Fisher, Camila Alves, Madison Walls and Una Healy.
